Location
Casa do Marqués is located in one of the most tourist destinations in Galicia, Rías Baixas. Blues and greens make up the palette for this geographical area, where the salty scent of the sea and its green fields and mountains combine perfectly. Rias Baixas is sea, beaches, tradition, a very special gastronomy with different kind of fishes and seafoods, and of course good wine, as a famous Protected Designation of Origin for white wines takes the same name of the place, DO Rías Baixas. Albariño wine which is the best white wine in the world according to many expert’s opinion belongs to this Designation of Origin.
Casa do Marqués is located very close to Baiona´s old town, and just a few meters away from Ladeira beach, a very quiet area where you will soon be tempted to relax, to walk, to disconnect… We are in a perfect location to visit other places of touristic interest, even in the North of Portugal.

How to get
By car
The easiest way to arrive to us is by car is the highway AG-57, exit 5, Baiona -Sabarís. You will arrive to a small roundabout and then a large one. Follow the signs to Baiona through Sabaris Av. Once you get to other small roundabout take the first exit (Sabaris) and you will see the hotel on the left side.
By bus
From Vigo bus station, take an ATSA bus to BAIONA. Bus services are every 30 minutes from 7.00 h to 21.00 h., and its fare is less than 3€. These buses can leave you about 50 meters from Casa do Marqués. The closest bus stop is Carrefour Market (we recommend you to ask the driver to stop you there when you go into the bus).
If you come from Porto Airport (Francisco Sa Carneiro) you can visit the website www.autna.com to check frequencies from Porto Airport to Vigo Bus Station.
Walking from “El Camino”
Once you arrive to Baiona, there are two ways for Pilgrims to arrive to the hotel: the original Camino or following the coast line by the promenade; both of them are about 1,5km to the hotel.
If you follow the “original Camino” (the yellow waymarked path), you will find the water font “Fonte do Pombal”. About 20m from it you should turn left, cross Sabaris Avenue and go straight other 30m to Areas Street. You will see the hotel from the corner.
If you follow the coast line, you will arrive to Ladeira Beach just after the small Santa Marta beach. In this beach you will see a white and blue beach hut. You just have to turn right in the alley in front of it and find the hotel in corner.
By train
There are no trains to Baiona. The nearest Train Station is Vigo.
By plane
Many airlines flight to Galicia. Our nearest airport is Peinador, located in Vigo. However, Lavacolla airport in Santiago de Compostela, Alvedro airport in A Coruña and Francisco Sa Carneiro airport in Porto are quite close, as they are located about 1-1.30h from us.
